Her name is Flurry and
she has been referred to as "Flur-ious". And she IS!!
Flurry is the blue sheltie love of my life. She doesn't compete
in conformation, although she is show quality. She does agility
and herding and loves it.
Her
registered name is Ross Roi's Arctic Chill OA, OAJ, PT, JHD "Flurry".
She was bred by Debbie Ross of Ross Roi Shelties who now lives
in Florida. But when I purchased Flurry from her Deb lived in
Michigan. Deb said we had to name her something having to do
with a blizzard because she was born in a very furious snow storm
with blizzard-like conditions. Hence, the name.
In her first agility trial,
Flurry placed in the ribbons 3 out of 4 runs and Double-Q'd on
her first day out in the ring. In her second agility trial she
was in the ribbons 2 out of 4 runs and double Q-d again. Flurry
normally earns a ribbon when she qualifies
. Now it's just
learning to be consistent and qualifying more often!!
Flurry also loves to herd
sheep. It's difficult to get out to train on sheep, so I'm not
sure where Flurry's herding career will go but it's something
we both enjoy doing and even training is fun.
